Sharing a Personal Piece Today
Today, I’m sharing a personal piece I’ve written as a result of an interaction I had with a medical establishment today, and my frustration with the US economy and inflation as a whole. Normally, I try to keep my swearing to a minimum here, but this is genuinely how I feel, so, if swearing is going to bother you, don’t read it.
Serve
Squeezing, choking, can’t take any more from me
No matter what’s paid, I still owe more money
Paychecks grow smaller while expenses enlarge
Fuck you to everyone wealthy, everyone in charge.
Clinics caring more about money than medical care
Cancel appointments when the funds just aren’t there.
Pay for the roof over your head, or choose your body, your life
Your body is nothing, just one more sacrifice.
Squeezing, choking, wrung out for all I’m worth
Doesn’t make a difference, my voice isn’t heard.
Pay everything but never get the American dream
Land of the greatest con ever seen.
Everything worked for is for corporate benefit
Cut hours, pay, and all additional incentives
Keep working for old white elites in their tower,
Keep working for anssholes insulated by power
Keep doing this, killing ourselves for nothing
Look for additional jobs when one fulltime should be plenty
Groceries, utilities, medicine, too expensive to buy
Mortgages, rent, and feul costs go sky high.
This isn’t sustainable, it’ll never be enough
Fuck you who’re in power of this bullshit you’ve made up
Fuck your authority, your crushing grip at our throats
May you sufficate, may you lose it all to those you hate most.
Powerful men, your fate was written long ago
You’ve forgotten Marie Antoinette, and decline of Rome.
“Let them eat cake,” a foolish sentiment to make,
And someday you’ll find its your head on the plate.
