A Week of Daily Readings: Tuesday, November 28, 2023

Ace of Pentacles, Nine of Wands, Eight of Pentacles
Elemental Associations:
Wands = Fire
Pentacles = Earth element, waning crescent associations (since we are currently in a waning moon, this could indicate the timing of what we need to know)
Aces = Beginnings
The Question: “What do we need to know for this week?”
What the Cards Mean:
Ace of Pentacles: Pentacles are the suit of industry and material goods – most often (and in this case especially) material gain. The Ace being in this suit suggests a new venture, maybe a business or a hobby. Something that starts small and can become very profitable (though profit is by no means promised by this card). The thing to keep in mind with this card (like so many) there is great potential for gain, and with it, there will be new problems. The thing about it, is, even with the new problems – we as the seekers will find new solutions.
Nine of Wands: Protective and defensive – looking at this card, the character is in a defensive stance. I won’t lie; this card has come up more than once for me in a reading. I’m a fighter by nature, and sometimes this nature gets in the way of good things and opportunities I can’t see because I’m so afraid. This card reminds us that we were not meant to be in a defensive posture at all times. Indeed, if you’re like me, and it’s been a rough time lately, you might even feel the exhaustion this card talks about. Who wouldn’t be exhausted after constantly fighting?
Given its position between the Ace of Pentacles and the Eight of Pentacles, this card is telling us how protective we are of ourselves, and our gifts. I feel this card intensely, especially when I think about my writing or singing, the latter I still have a difficult time sharing with anyone ever. You might feel very much like you need to guard yourself, especially if you’re trying something new (I’m literally feeling this as I write this piece!) and that’s okay. Trust yourself and the new opportunities you’ve been given. For me, I really like using Tarot, and it tends to be something I’m more or less private about. This is the first time I’m really sharing something like this, so here it goes…
Eight of Pentacles: Back to pentacles – this card is all about natural gifts and getting/taking the opportunities to use them. We have natural gifts, gifts we can use to earn greater income and success. It can also indicate a mentorship, or enhancing these gifts.
Summary
Overall, this is a really positive and encouraging reading – we have the gifts, and we are all we need. We’re absolute naturally gifted and amazing people. It’s time to stop being defensive, get our of our own way, and go for it! Take some time and think about what your natural gifts are. What are you drawn to? When you wake up, and you’ve had your morning routine, what gives you the first smile of the day? Maybe set some time aside for yourself this week and think about what natural gifts you have, and how you might incorporate them more in your life.
